Serena is a spunky 8 year old girl ... an 8 year old girl with half a heart. Serena was diagnosed in utero with Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome. By the time she was 21 mths old she had undergone 3 open heart surgeries and 3 heart cathetrizations. If you looked at her you wouldn’t know she lives off of half a heart ...-- her imagination is wild & her enthusiasm is so contagious.
