What a gorgeous morning in Providence for a photo shoot!
After greeting Jessica and Keith we headed down the the Japanese Garden and began shooting. And although it was a beautiful morning, there were shadows to deal with - and a little goose poop on the grass ways! I chose to go into the shade for family portraits as to not have to deal with the sun as much as possible and to avoid shadowed-out faces.
After a little while we had to break out some of the special toys that Jess brought along for Connor ... a 20 month old can only smile for so long and Connor was doing great!! He was such a trooper and so well behaved and SO happy!! A little Cookie Monster, singing Christmas puppy & radio dance action and Connor was ready to keep on rockin'! We followed his flow as I snapped pictures along the way.
Jess wanted pictures of her and Keith walking with Connor and we tried several times to get them coming and going and swinging their little sweet heart into the air. We got some great shots of that action throughout the shoot and they came out super cute!
The geese in the little river helped give me something to shoot as well - Connor has quite the throwing arm and really enjoyed feeding some Cheerios to the geese and it was a fun and sweet moment to catch of the family together.
The shoot lasted just under an hour and a half and with over 230 images taken I found 100 gems to edit for Jessica and Keith. It was a great morning and I really appreciated Jessica calling and giving me the opportunity to photograph her family. It was truly my pleasure and Connor is such a joy of a little boy - full of spunk and smiles!
